WHY THE MOVE . . .
For 10 months, this newsletter has followed one idea:
We are only as effective as the patterns that we can recognize, remember and apply.
The patterns shaping sports, culture, and capital repeat, and the people who see them early make better decisions.
And one of the patterns I have returned to most is consolidation.
In media, independent voices build an audience. Then they move under a structure that can carry them further than they could go alone. Most durable media companies started that way, as a few voices under one roof.
So I’m making that move. I’m joining Skybox as a Partner alongside Brent to help build and shape the platform. My work as an investor at CNC Partners continues.
